Ham cooked in wine

When you cook the ham in red wine, it takes a lovely red colour. Serve the ham with for instance root vegetables and homemade mustard.

Recipe for 4 people

1 bottle (700 ml) red wine
Same amount (700 ml) of water
4 sprigs of mint
2 tablespoons mustard seed
1 tablespoon salt
2 large tablespoons honey
About 1 kilo ham

Pour the wine into a large cooking pot and ad the spices. Bring it to the boil and then place the ham in the pot. Let it simmer for about 45 min. (core temperature 75 degrees Celsius). Leave the ham to rest in the wine for another 20 min.
