Join us for a fascinating week exploring Viking Age textiles, textile techniques, plant dyeing and clothing. This week's theme covers a wide range of topics, all revealing just how colourful and skilful Viking craftsmanship really was. Chat with our talented textile craftspeople, visit the open workshops and discover what we actually know about the Vikings' vibrant clothing.

Watch as the textile craftspeople put the finishing touches to a historically accurate set of robes for Bishop Ansgar himself. From undergarments to a magnificent chasuble, every piece is being made from the finest wool, linen and silk.
