The pots are sizzling, and the lovely smell of food drifts across Ribe VikingeCenter. Meet the lady of the house at the Viking farm, where she cooks over the fire and is happy to talk about ingredients and the Vikings kitchen. In Ripa Town and at the Market Place food is also prepared every day, and the Vikings are happy to answer all your questions.
On Wednesday we crown the most skilled Viking cook. The kitchens take part in the Viking Cookery Contest and, using the same ingredients, they must prepare a dish. It is you, our guests, who will taste and vote for the most delicious dish.
