Thorleif was Ripa’s richest trader, with a ship of his own. Men like him brought prosperity to the town and made it renowned far beyond the country’s borders.
About the series
The film series VIKINGS BY THE WADDEN SEA has been created by Ribe VikingeCenter with support from the Region of Southern Denmark.
The films were shot at Ribe VikingeCenter and along the Wadden Sea coast. At Ribe VikingeCenter you can explore several Viking Age settings, visit the buildings, watch different crafts in action and have a chat with the Vikings.
The town of Ripa had its own coin
